INSULATING EXISTING INSULATION
BOLIX Double Therm is an innovative solution that involves applying an additional layer of wall insulation over existing styrofoam insulation (ETICS). This includes preparing the old insulation layer for re-insulation and providing professional technical advice on diagnostics and substrate preparation.
CROSS-SECTION
Reinsulation is possible when the following conditions are met:
- The wall substrate has sufficient load-bearing capacity.
- The condition of the wall structure (especially for buildings with layered construction from prefabricated panels) ensures safe load transfer.
- The existing insulation is adequately fastened to the substrate.
- There is no delamination between layers of the existing insulation.
- There is the possibility of replacing or modifying all flashings, window sills, and external installations.
