REVOLUTIONARY TECHNOLOGY

A revolutionary technology that increases and extends the resistance of façades to microbiological contamination by up to twice as much compared to traditional solutions. This new, innovative technology is part of the BOLIX COMPLEX – RENOVATIONS façade renovation system, covered by Technical Recommendation RT – 1185/2019. It is the most effective protection for building façades against dirt and microbiological contamination.

TECHNOLOGY DESCRIPTION

Plaster intended for renovation, cleaned of microbiological contamination with GLO preparation and a pressure washer.

The cleaned plaster is then painted with the silicone primer SIG Complex with biocides. This primed plaster becomes a reservoir of gradually released biocides.

Next, we recommend painting it with silicone paint containing surface biocides, which is further enhanced by biocides from the primed layer, increasing the façade surface’s resistance to microbiological contamination by up to twice as much.

STAGES OF DEEP PROTECTION TECHNOLOGY

  • The surface biocides in the existing plaster, primed with BOLIX SIG Complex, migrate to the outer layer and through the paint coating, enhancing and extending its resistance to microbiological contamination over time.
  • This innovative solution by BOLIX, named DEEP PROTECTION, significantly increases and extends the effectiveness of façade protection against microbiological contamination.
  • Painting the façade with BOLIX silicone paints containing biocides, which have enhanced resistance to algae and fungi growth.
  • The amount of biocidal agents stored in the primed substrate and in the paint layer is significantly greater than in the paint layer alone.
  • Priming the cleaned and disinfected substrate (existing plasters) with a special silicone primer BOLIX SIG Complex. In addition to its ability to deeply penetrate and strengthen the structure of old plasters, this primer contains a specially formulated blend of surface biocides. This solution creates a “biocide reservoir” in the renovated substrates, which has a key impact on the effectiveness and duration of the microbiological protection of the façade paint coating. This is particularly important since the paint layer is generally much thinner than the plaster being renovated.
